Daniel Jenkins, DDS, graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1975 in Loma Linda California. He has practiced in Tennessee, Michigan, and California. He is presently in private general practice in Chino California. Dr. Jenkins is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and his local Tri-County Dental Society. Doctor Jenkins is a Fellow in the International College of Dentists. He is also a member of the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics, the Women in Need foundation, the American Association of Dental Editors, and is considered in the graduate status by the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Doctor Jenkins is an approved dentist for providing smile makeovers for the Mrs. Globe beauty pageant contestants. He has also served as a judge for this pageant.Dr. Jenkins is the current editor for the Tri-County Dental Society Bulletin and is a Certified Dental Editor by the American Association of Dental Editors. He also is editor for Team Tips, a publication specifically for the teams of members of Tri-County Dental Society. He is Editor for the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics Newsletter. He has written numerous articles and editorials on many aspects of dentistry. He is the Chair for the Tri-County Dental Society Transitions Study Club, which studies new developments and changes in the dental practice. Dr. Jenkins has conducted hands-on workshops for conservative porcelain inlays and onlays. He has lectured for several years on the CAD-CAM system for porcelain restorations and participates with Biolase dental laser corporation in their presentations, research, and evaluations. He has lectured on lasers in dentistry for the WCLI, (World Clinical Laser Institute), and the ALD, (Academy of Laser Dentistry), regarding cosmetic use of lasers in dentistry and on new bonding techniques. He has been a Director at Large for the Tri-County Dental Society, a delegate for the House of Delegates at the California Dental Association, a member of the Continuing Education Committee, and a representative for the CDA to members of the California legislature. Dr. Jenkins has also served as a city councilman and is a member of CalDPac the political action committee for the California Dental Association.
Doctor Jenkins has participated in volunteer-dental services in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Mexico City after the 1984 earthquake, in Obregon Mexico for the Yaki Indians with LIGA, (Flying Doctors), and in Tijuana, Mexico. He also participates with school children's dental health education programs and with the Tri-County Dental Society's free dental clinic program. Dr. Jenkins is a trainer for the First5 organization under the auspices of the California Dental Association Foundation in training dental and medical personnel in the prevention of caries in children. He has lectured for First5 at dental society meetings, the Indian Dental Association, and at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry Alumni Convention.
